Originating from Bengal, these fabrics are mainly used for making shopping bags or for making a sturdy luggage, they have been booming in recent years as they are a partly recycled and 100% recyclable material, easy to clean with bright and resistant colours.
Sewn by machine or by hand, the use of a biais for sewing is necessary, ideal for mixing with graphic or ethnic trimmings in matching colours.
A whole range of webbing is available to decorate or assemble handles in different sizes, designs and colours.
They are sold by the metre.
